Favorite Place

Starbucks at SM Ecoland, Davao City

Whenever I just want to be alone, cuddle up with a book and drink coffee, I go to Starbucks. Here in Davao City, there are only three Starbucks cafes - in SM Ecoland, Abreeza and SM Lanang. But my favorite Starbucks is the one in SM Ecoland, mainly because it's nearer, compared to the other two. It's also very spacious, and you could have your own privacy. 

When you enter the cafe, the delicious smell of coffee would greet you. On the right is the cashier, where you order your beverage and/or your pastry. There is also a big couch in the center of the room, fit for five people to sit on. In front of that is a large shelf with many types of mugs, cups and glasses. There are five tables with four seats each just near the door. On the window side, there are four small couches, which is a perfect place to hang out with your friends and just talk. On the back side of the cafe, there are two couches, much bigger than the one in the center of the room. Above that are photographs of different people, depicting the cultural lifestyle of the Filipinos. There is also a lamp there, which helps if you're reading a novel or studying in that place. Just in front of the cashier is a long table where five people could sit. Most people who occupies this table are mostly the ones who are alone. Near that are other four tables, but the chairs are much longer in contrast to the ones near the door. Just right next the corner of the cashier is the newspaper stand. Beside that is a table where you could get a pack of sugar, cream or anything you want to mix with your coffee. There is also another long table after that, which people use whenever they're having a business meetings and such. The restroom is in the farthest side of the cafe. 

It may be a boring place to other people, but to me, this is a place where I could forget about my problems, just drink coffee and relax.
